Comedy by Gilles Dyrek
"Venice in the Snow" is an exciting mixture of tabloid play and social satire. It takes a humorous look at modern affluent society and mercilessly exposes its naivety and the mechanisms of compassion.
Patricia and Christophe are invited to dinner with his former university friend Jean-Luc and his fiancée Nathalie. But what begins harmlessly ends furiously. While the hosts compete with each other, the guests struggle to cover up their relationship crisis. The hosts explain Patricia's taciturnity by the fact that she is a foreigner. A misunderstanding that she gratefully picks up on and, full of thieving joy, fuels a fire that not only drives Christophe mad, but also brings the hosts' perfect world crashing down.
