A satire by Dario Fo
Two women who couldn't be more different. The resolute and feisty Antonia and her naive and reserved friend Margharita. What they have in common is the daily struggle to survive. Inflation is omnipresent. Even for the most important things - a roof over their heads and a meal on the table - their wages are barely enough. Enraged by the price increases, Antonia and other women loot the supermarket. She shares the "loot" with Margharita. But how are they supposed to explain the goods to their righteous husbands? A game of confusion begins with unexpected pregnancies, a soup made from birdseed, a seemingly dead policeman and St. Eulalia. Look forward to an evening of grotesque situation comedy and a touch of anarchy.
"Satire is the weapon of the people, the highest expression of doubt, the most important aid to reason..." Dario Fo.
