a play by Isabelle Weh
Lara doesn't want to go to school because she has to read her story aloud in front of the whole class today. She loves writing and inventing adventures (if it weren't for those stupid spelling mistakes), but reading aloud just doesn't work out the way she would like it to. So she invents a terrible virus and locks herself in her room. There, she dreams herself into her own world with her three companions—a teddy bear, a dinosaur, and Principessa—and comes to a realization about why reading is so difficult for her: "...because writing is a mean burrowing animal, and the syllables bury themselves before my eyes. And the harder I try to get the letters clean, the deeper they dig into the mud."
A playful approach to the topic of dyslexia for ALL age groups.
